I still remember watching the news when I was 12 years old and seeing a report about a polluted river. From that moment on, I wanted to be part of the solution. Working at ERG, I have been able to realize this goal and exercise my passions for learning new things, solving problems, and helping our clients reach their goals.
Mae Thomas is a senior chemical engineer and an ERG vice president. Mae has over 25 years of project management experience and has worked in air quality for most of that time. She has led numerous projects, including air control technology assessments, cost analyses, emission estimations and regulatory analysis, emission standards development, emission inventory development, and technical evaluations. Over the last 15 years, Mae has managed ERG's support to state, local, and tribal agencies in preparing air quality permits. With over 2,000 completed permits, this work has included all types and levels of permits and covered a wide range of industry sectors. A registered professional engineer, Mae holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
