I am passionate about working with people and organizations to help them design and implement durable, effective solutions that create meaningful positive outcomes.
Dr. Tegan Hoffmann is vice president of Blue Earth Consultants, a Division of ERG. With 20 years of professional experience, she works with communities, businesses, non-governmental organizations, foundations, academic institutions, and governments to provide state-of-the-art ideas and consulting services for improving terrestrial and marine resource management and sustainable practices around the world. She spearheads projects to identify gaps and needs and works with clients to develop effective institutional arrangements, as well as organizational, programmatic, and operational designs that lead to greater impact.
Leading a team of professionals and a portfolio of over 150 projects completed for a multitude of clients along the U.S. West Coast and in Southeast Asia, Pacific island nations, Mexico, and the wider Caribbean region, she specializes in developing sustainable solutions to complex, multi-faceted environmental issues. Tegan’s work spans many areas, including strategic and business planning; governance, institutional arrangements, and organizational design; monitoring, evaluation, and learning; funding and long-term financing; meeting design, stakeholder engagement, and technical facilitation; strategic communications; and next/best practices. Tegan’s strengths lie in her ability to draw connections, create synergies, and conceive cutting-edge solutions.
Tegan holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in geography and a B.S. in conservation resource studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, trail running along the California coast, and singing karaoke with her friends.
