Research Analyst I

Currently seeking entry-level candidates with a B.A./B.S. in economics, statistics, or another quantitative field to perform policy-oriented research for Federal agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The work involves supporting a range of environmental and public health related projects. Tasks will include researching scientific, technical, and policy topics in environmental science, pharmaceutical, medical device, and food safety, occupational safety and worker exposures; collecting and analyzing primary as well as secondary data; and producing well-written reports that clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, capable of applying analytical concepts to research, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Coursework or related experience in public health policy, health IT, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis, environmental policy, environmental science or engineering, or chemistry a definite plus. Proficiency in Excel, Access, SAS, and/or STATA highly desirable.
