Civil/Sanitary Engineer - Municipal Wastewater
Chantilly Office

ERG's Chantilly office is seeking a talented, motivated Civil/Sanitary Engineer experienced with municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems. This includes design, operation, maintenance, and modeling of sanitary and/or combined sewer systems; SSO and CSO evaluation and management; municipal wastewater treatment system design and operation; and pretreatment program implementation. Ideal candidates will have a degree in civil and/or sanitary engineering; five or more years of experience with system design and operation; sewer system and wastewater treatment system modeling and evaluating impacts of discharges on receiving water bodies; GIS and water quality modeling; and EPA regulatory programs regarding CSOs, SSOs, and municipal treatment systems. Contract Administrator

ERG is seeking a full-time Contract Administrator in our Chantilly, VA office for support primarily under federal government contracts. The candidate must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized individual who is able to prioritize and multi-task effectively, and work independently as well as with professional staff on site and in other ERG offices. Responsibilities include: • Administering and negotiating a full range of agreements as prime contractor and subcontractor; • Drafting subcontract agreements and modifications; • Providing cost and price analysis and bid and proposal support; • Reviewing and approving ERG and Subcontractor cost estimates; • Processing ERG and Subcontractor invoices; • Providing general support such as implementing procurement and purchasing system company policies and procedures, working with technical staff to ensure compliance with contract/subcontract requirements, providing audit support, and performing research on specific contractual issues; and • Managing the closeout process, including subcontractor closeout. The position requires the following education and work experience: • BA/BS desired, and 5-10 years of experience administering federal, state, and/or commercial contracts; • Proficiency in Excel and Word; • Experience with and understanding of the FAR; • Familiarity with the UCC; and • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Explosives Safety Engineer or Scientist

ERG's Chantilly office is seeking a talented, motivated explosives safety engineer or scientist to support our Department of Defense (DoD) clients with explosives safety planning efforts. Candidates will provide support that includes evaluating DoD facility construction and demolition projects for explosives safety hazards and requirements; preparing and reviewing site approval requests (SAR) such as preliminary explosives site approvals (ESAs), explosives safety submittals (ESSs), and final safety certifications; and interacting with customers to provide explosives safety expertise in project planning. Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering/science or equivalent military training; direct experience with explosives safety planning, storage, handling, transportation, or disposal; familiarity with DoD explosives safety guidance; completion of current DoD explosives safety related training; and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Senior Ecologist
Chantilly Office

ERG is seeking senior scientists with 10 or more years of experience in the areas of aquatic ecology, natural resource damage assessment, and ecological risk assessment. Candidates will lead teams to research and evaluate the effects of industrial wastewater discharges from U.S. industries, and quantify the benefits of proposed regulatory options to reduce or eliminate discharges of toxic chemicals, nutrients, pathogens, and other environmental pollutants. Candidates will work in teams with engineers, scientists, and economists to perform national and regional level environmental assessments. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in ecology, natural resources, or toxicology; project management and field sampling experience; and excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional responsibilities may include preparing cost estimates and reports, billing support, and bid & proposal support.
