Key Steps in Problem Formulation

The four key steps in problem formulation, which we'll explore in this module, are:

  • Integrating available information.
  • Selecting assessment endpoints.
  • Developing a conceptual model.
  • Developing an analysis plan.

These steps are not all linear. The order in which you produce assessment endpoints and conceptual models depends on why the risk assessment was initiated.
