resourceIntegrating Available Information Process Flow (Text Version)

Integrating available information involves three main steps. Study the steps listed below. Repeat each aloud. Then take a moment to look away from the screen, and see if you can remember the steps you've just repeated.

1. Information collection:

  • What is the stressor?
  • Where did it come from?
  • How are organisms exposed?
  • What is the ecosystem?
  • What are the effects?
  • What other information is necessary?

2. Create preliminary conceptual models and assessment endpoints.

3. Discover need for new information.
