Planned Analytical Methods

Another key component of an analysis plan is a description of the methods to be used to estimate risk, including:

  • How data analyses will distinguish between risk questions.
  • The kinds of analyses to be used.
  • The types of data to be used.
  • Potential extrapolations.
  • The characteristics of any models used.

We'll explore such data analysis techniques further during Module 3, which discusses the analysis phase of risk assessment. First, there are a few more topics to cover in Module 2.
