Outputs from problem formulation such as assessment endpoints,
conceptual models, and the analysis plan provide the focus and structure
for the analysis phase. During analysis, assessors select and evaluate
relevant data so they can use it to examine exposure and ecological
effects.
The assessors then present their findings in exposure and stressor-response
profiles. The analysis phase links problem formulation and risk
characterization: the exposure and stressor-response profiles that
come from analysis provide the basis for estimating and describing
risks in the next phase, risk characterization.
