Key Steps in Analysis

The three key steps in analysis, which we'll explore in this module, are:

Although these steps are described one after the next here, they do not have to be completed in chronological order. The analysis phase is flexible. There is often substantial interaction between the characterizations of effects and of exposure. At any time, assessors can acquire additional information and reiterate the assessment process.

In the following lessons, we'll take a closer look at each of these key steps, starting with data selection. As suggested by the analysis chart, You can't characterize exposure or ecological effects without collecting the appropriate measures.
