You may encounter several sources of uncertainty in the studies
you evaluate for use in a risk assessment. Some of these are presented
in the reveal activity below. Click on the items at left to view
a detailed discussion.

Uncertainties need to be identified during analysis and addressed
later in the risk assessment. Methods used to evaluate uncertainties
can be simple or complex. You should now be familiar with the types
of data, types of studies, criteria for selecting data, and ways
to identify uncertainty. In the next two lessons you can learn how
to use this knowledge to actually describe exposure and the resulting
ecological effects.
