Linking Measures of Effects to Assessment Endpoints

Now that we:

1. Have confirmed that the stressor could cause adverse effects
and
2. Have confirmed that predicted effects could be caused by the stressor,

3. We need to ask: Did what we measure tell us something about the assessment endpoint?

For biological and mechanistic linkages, the closer together the taxa, response, experimental or observational setting, or geography, the better. Experience and professional judgment are also factors. Linking measures and endpoints can be tricky, as addressed in this audio.
