Key Steps in Risk Characterization

Two key steps in risk characterization are:

After risk characterization is complete, assessors communicate results to risk managers, who, in turn, share the results with risk communicators or interested parties. Though reporting results in not considered part of the risk characterization process, it is important. It is covered in Lesson 5 of this module.
