Process Models

Process models can also be used to estimate risk.

Process models are mathematical expressions that represent our understanding of how a system works. All models simplify reality, turning it into something that we can process on a computer or calculator.

Exposure or effects process models can be used during the analysis phase, and models that integrate both exposure and effects are useful in risk characterization.
