Project Brief

The Challenge

The Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) (which operates under the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine’s Transportation Research Board), generates an ever-growing library of research to help airports address the myriad challenges they face every day. To make this research available for use in solving these challenges, ACRP needed help to effectively disseminate this research to airport managers and other industry professionals.

ERG's Solution

Since 2011, ERG has been working closely with ACRP to develop and implement innovative strategies to disseminate the program’s research results and engage airport practitioners in its research process. ERG established and continues to support ACRP’s marquee dissemination and engagement activities, including the Ambassador program, which equips senior-level professionals to speak and exhibit on behalf of ACRP at industry conferences; the Champion program, which recruits early-career airport professionals to become involved in ACRP research and activities; and the webinar program, which includes pre-recorded sessions and short interview-style videos.
