Information Technology

MA VISITS

Screenshot of the MA Visits Application

For the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, ERG managed the development, ongoing maintenance, and transfer to state servers of the Violations, Investigations and Scheduling, Information and Tracking System (VISITS) -- a web-based tool for RMV personnel to manage their audit program for the enhanced emissions and safety test. Using this tool, RMV can enter audit and complaint data, reconcile station and inspector violations, build visit and violation chronologies, schedule hearings, and generate notice and enforcement letters and other program-related reports, including EPA-required summary reports. Information from the state's Vehicle Information Database populates the VISITS nightly and an automated e-mail notification feature was developed to confirm successful data transfer and provide notification to managers. ERG provided application training, in the form of multiple training seminars, for all user groups.
