Today’s airport industry faces a host of quickly evolving challenges and opportunities—such as pandemics, biometrics, climate response, and security threats—that the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) cannot address through its traditional research process, which requires years to publish research. ACRP (which operates under the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine’s Transportation Research Board) needed a forum to convene thought leaders and stakeholders so they could share best practices, current thinking, and potential solutions to topics as they emerge. ACRP launched its Insight Events series to fill the gap and needed support to successfully implement these events.
ERG has been organizing ACRP Insight Events since the program’s inception. Working with subject experts, ERG deploys its cross-disciplinary teams of expert facilitators, airport stakeholder engagement and outreach specialists, graphic designers, web developers, and logistics planners to help ACRP organize, host, and facilitate virtual and in-person Insight Events on such topics as airport roles in reducing disease transmission, public-private partnerships in the airport industry, blockchain technology, and on-demand aviation services. ERG support incorporates conducting literature searches, recruiting planning committees, developing program agendas, recruiting speakers and moderators, marketing the event, innovating audience engagement activities, and producing event summary reports to ensure that each Insight Event exceeds ACRP and participant expectations.
