Anna Dimling

Chemical Engineer

Growing up on a farm and showing livestock competitively sparked my passion for environmental advocacy. My greatest professional joy has been finding creative ways to collect, organize, and visualize complex data sets to translate how toxic exposures and releases affect our communities and the environment.

Anna Dimling (she/her/hers) is a chemical engineer and project manager at ERG. For over ten years, she has supported and led a variety of projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Defense related to modeling chemical releases and exposures, creating database management systems, developing interactive trainings, implementing safety engineering, and drafting federal regulations.

As a subject expert for Chemical Data Reporting under the Toxic Substances Control Act, she has developed numerous guidance documents, instructional webpages, and databases for the EPA CDR website. She also has been integral to the development of EPA’s proposed Tiered Data Reporting rule, which will improve data collection, prioritization, and risk evaluation for selected chemical substances or mixtures under TSCA.

Anna holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Virginia Tech with minors in math, chemistry, and green engineering. In her free time, she enjoys painting, upcycle projects, and recreational sports like flag football.
