AnnaClaire Marley

Senior Resilience and Data Specialist

I am passionate about addressing community resilience holistically, combining cross-sector data analysis with community knowledge and engagement.

AnnaClaire, a senior resilience and data specialist at ERG, has over seven years of experience supporting community resilience to natural hazards, with a focus on coastal regions. Her work sits at the intersection of assessing environmental, social, and economic impacts and solutions. She has led and supported projects at the local, state, and federal levels to assess the vulnerability of assets to natural hazards and to develop adaptation strategies that prioritize the health and safety of both communities and the environment. For example, she served as technical lead for an EPA study analyzing the economic benefits that saltmarshes provide to communities through flood mitigation.

AnnaClaire also brings specialized expertise in geospatial analysis and data visualization, using tools such as R, Python, and ArcGIS to effectively communicate project outcomes and analyses to diverse audiences. She has served as the technical lead on a wide range of projects, including the development of a municipal vulnerability indicator tool for the State of Vermont. In addition, for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, AnnaClaire managed a team tasked with communicating hazard impacts across U.S. states and territories.

AnnaClaire has a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree from the Bren School at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a bachelor’s in geography from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and scuba diving in Monterey Bay.
