Brian King
Vice President
Working at ERG is always a great experience. Every day I get to collaborate with outstanding co-workers who share a passion for their client’s mission. Together we achieve robust results through teamwork, technical curiosity, and supportive, productive relationships.
Brian King, an ERG vice president and senior program manager, started his career at ERG supporting contracts with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop industrial wastewater regulations for the metal products industries. Subsequently, he managed contracts with EPA to support the agency’s wastewater program for the iron and steel industry, as wells as projects for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, to manage wastewater generated onboard Navy ships. In 2000, when the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (IHD), became a new client, Brian managed multiple programs to provide IHD with a broad cross-section of services, including military construction planning, master planning, environmental and cultural resource compliance, explosives safety, and process engineering. Over the next several years, his service portfolio expanded to include sustainability, climate change, and energy management for a growing client base that included additional Navy installations, as well as the Pentagon, Federal Bureau of Investigation, General Services Administration, and Architect of the Capitol.
In 2016, after 26 years at ERG, Brian began working for the Pentagon as a federal employee in the Facilities Services Directorate. There he served as Program Manager for environmental compliance, energy management, sustainability, and resiliency. In this role, he coordinated closely with the Pentagon divisions responsible for planning, design, construction, and with the operations and policy offices within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He also served as the Pentagon’s Action Officer responsible for recovery from chemical or biological attacks. During Brian’s final year at the Pentagon, he managed efforts to develop a new 20-year Master Plan for the Pentagon Reservation. Brian returned to ERG in 2026, where he now provides a wide variety of support to facilities planning and engineering contracts and projects for the Department of Defense and other ERG clients.
Brian has a B.S, in chemical engineering from the University of Alabama and an M.S. in chemical engineering from Auburn University. He is an Accredited Professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP) and was a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) while previously at ERG. Brian also has a Professional Certificate in Facilities Management from George Mason University. Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with family and outdoor adventures, with a particular fondness for the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
