Corey McGhie
Architectural Designer and BIM/CAD Manager
I want to make a difference in the world by working with experts on important projects. Serving as the building information modeling/computer-aided design manager at ERG lets me work with many different people, including planners, designers, and engineers, to share information and make decisions. I am involved in the entire design and construction process, from planning to completion, and am constantly learning new things and finding new ways to improve collaboration. My future is bright at ERG.
Corey McGhie has over 20 years of experience with federal government facilities, including military installations across Northern Virginia and overseas buildings operations with the U.S. State Department. Working alongside professional architects and engineers, he has led numerous team efforts to document architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection, and CCTV systems, including layout designs and as-built conditions.
As the building information modeling/computer-aided design (BIM/CAD) manager for architectural and design services at ERG, Corey is responsible for establishing and enforcing standards for the production of construction documents, including format control and typical drawing requirements. He is proficient in all current drawing software, and coordinates with ERG project designers to develop the drawing packages and deliverables most appropriate for each assignment. As an architectural designer, Corey applies his practical and theoretical knowledge to support clients by creating building designs and detailed drawings for client review and approval. He enjoys focusing on the aesthetic, functional, and spatial design of a building.
Corey received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of the District of Columbia.
