Daryl Hudson
Senior Chemical Engineer
The synergy between my enforcement and chemical evaluation work is invaluable. Because of the overlap, I routinely apply my skills and knowledge from one field to the other. This makes my work more efficient and enables me to approach it more holistically.
Daryl Hudson is a senior chemical engineer in ERG’s Chantilly, Virginia office, with expertise in toxic substance evaluations, environmental compliance, and regulation development. He has provided the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other federal clients with toxic substance evaluation support for nearly 25 years, and with compliance assistance and evaluation support for more than 15 of those years. Daryl’s expertise includes chemical evaluations, industrial process analysis, identification and evaluation of chemical releases and exposures in industrial settings, environmental release and occupational exposure modeling, technology and green engineering assessments and analyses, facility inspections, and environmental sampling. He has applied these skills to evaluations of toxic substances, including screening-level new chemical evaluations and detailed existing chemical risk assessments, regulation development, environmental sampling, evaluation and development of industry best practices, development and evaluation of modeling tools and methodologies, and outreach support, including facilitating communication between stakeholders (regulators, the regulated community, and the public).
Daryl holds a B.S. in chemical engineering and an M.S. in engineering (environmental emphasis) from West Virginia University. When not working, Daryl enjoys motorcycle riding, shooting sports, growing Phalaenopsis orchids, and spending time with his wife Laura, and their two children.
