Jeanette Alvis

Senior Scientist

I’m fortunate to have interned in both the private sector and with EPA during my college years as it gave me valuable perspective that has served me well ever since. I believe I found the best of both worlds at ERG as we work to support EPA’s mission, and I’m grateful to do work that makes a real difference in solving environmental issues.

Jeanette Alvis is a senior scientist and project manager in ERG’s Morrisville office. For more than 20 years, she has supported EPA regulatory and voluntary programs that impact air quality at the national level. She manages ERG’s ongoing technical and outreach support to EPA’s Landfill Methane Outreach Program. She maintains LMOP’s extensive database of municipal solid waste landfills and landfill gas energy projects, multiple publications and tools, evolving web content, and a large partnership network, and she provides direct technical assistance and support to communities seeking to mitigate landfill methane emissions. With a keen eye for details, Jeanette has served as a quality assurance coordinator for multiple projects and as a reviewer of multiple Quality Assurance Project Plans.

Jeanette earned a B.S. in meteorology with a minor in environmental science from North Carolina State University. Outside work, she enjoys spending time in nature, farming, flower gardening, and reading.
