Michael Poe
Facilities and Infrastructure Project Manager
Construction of facilities and infrastructure has always fascinated me. I thrive on planning and designing facilities and then guiding their construction from the ground up. It means a lot to me to know that I have played a key role in constructing facilities that will be put to good use and stand the test of time.
Michael Poe, a Facilities and Infrastructure Project Manager at ERG, manages high-visibility construction projects and programs on U.S. Navy installations that focus on administrative, production, and laboratory facilities and associated infrastructure for the research and development, manufacturing, and testing of energetics materials and related hardware. Mike applies his engineering and project management expertise and many years of design and construction experience to navigate each construction project through the planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases of the facility and infrastructure project life cycle. While proactively monitoring and managing risk, scope, schedule, and cost, Mike acts as the primary liaison between facility management teams, end user stakeholders, government management, and construction entities to ensure that construction project requirements and the Navy’s mission goals are accomplished through top-notch effective stakeholder communication and buy-in.
Mike holds a B.S. in chemical engineering, with a concentration in environmental engineering, from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Procore Certified Project Manager and has been a certified Project Management Professional working in the project and program management arenas for transportation, municipal, and federal government entities since 2011. Outside work, Mike is an avid Major League Baseball fan and historian, enjoys watching and coaching youth baseball, and participates in outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.
