Mindi Lundberg

Lead Ecologist

My love for wild places out west started at an early age. Thanks to my father’s passion for exploring old ghost towns and my mother’s love of discovering old gravestones, we frequently ventured to places less traveled, so it was no surprise when I chose a career as an ecologist working to protect the same natural resources in the same part of the U.S. I had grown to love as a child.

Mindi Lundberg (she/her/hers) is a lead ecologist at PG Environmental (a division of The ERG Group). She has over a decade of experience conducting vegetative, soils, and wildlife assessments and monitoring across the West, including a wide variety of surveys she managed while at federal and state agencies prior to joining PG. Mindi specializes in rangeland and ecological assessment surveys and has also conducted several raptor and wildlife surveys. At PG, she manages the terrestrial projects under PG’s work with the Bureau of Land Management’s Assessment, Inventory and Monitoring (AIM) Strategy. This work involves overseeing a large pool of seasonal staff, in collaboration with other PG staff acting as crew and project managers, to sample over a thousand AIM sites a season for BLM in very remote locations throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

Mindi has several certifications, including Terrestrial AIM Instructor Training, Wilderness First Aid, Wetland Delineation, and several threatened and endangered species surveying and monitoring certifications. She holds a B.S. in conservation and restoration ecology with an emphasis on wildlife resources from Utah State University.
