Every data collection is unique. I enjoy developing innovative solutions to gather the data that ERG relies on in support of healthier, safer, and more sustainable systems. My role at ERG extends across multiple service areas, allowing me to collaborate with a wide range of clients and colleagues and continually take on new challenges.

Nyssa Ackerley is a senior analyst with 19 years of experience in the development, implementation, and analysis of data collections. As ERG’s Qualtrics XM brand administrator and lead survey implementation specialist, she has supported hundreds of data collection projects ranging from program evaluations to iterative expert elicitations to large-scale multi-mode statistical surveys. Her extensive resume spans multiple ERG service areas, and includes experience in public health, food safety, workplace safety, good manufacturing practices, disaster recovery, vehicle emissions, effluent guidelines, and coastal resilience. In addition to managing the technical aspects of data collections, Nyssa is also an expert in the systematic processing of complex datasets, including cleaning, coding, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Nyssa holds a B.S. in resource economics from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an M.S. in agriculture, food and environment from Tufts University. She enjoys backyard gardening and outdoor adventures with her family and their dog—especially camping and hiking in the White Mountains.
