Sarah Koeppel, senior environmental planning and cultural resources specialist, has more than 20 years of experience working on complex cultural resource and historic preservation projects. As a Registered Professional Archaeologist, she has assisted federal agencies with National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act compliance during master planning, historic property management planning, programmatic agreements and environmental documents, policy and guidance development, stakeholder engagement, and national tribal consultation. Sarah also has extensive experience developing, managing, integrating, and auditing cultural resources and NEPA programs, and conducting fundamental and advanced training on environmental planning and historic preservation topics for senior leadership, non-practitioners, and the public.  

Sarah holds a B.A. in anthropology from Auburn University, an M.A. in anthropology from Western Michigan University, and a Sustainable Preservation Certificate from Cornell University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, volunteering, hiking, reading, and watching historical documentaries.
