Thomas Massey is a registered architect with more than 40 years of successful planning, design, and construction management experience throughout the United States, for public and private sector clients, on a wide variety of building types. He has experience on “both sides of the table,” having served as lead designer, senior architect, and project manager, as well as technical advisor, design manager, and owner’s representative. In addition, Tom has prepared and participated in public presentations, including experience with large and small groups ranging from board rooms and citizen groups to formal presentations to the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts and the National Capital Planning Commission.

As Director of AE Design Services at ERG, Tom applies his knowledge, experience, and management skills across a wide range of client engagements to deliver high quality projects on time and on budget. He is involved in all phases of projects, from inception through design, construction, and turnover to occupancy, successfully leading customized teams of in-house professional staff and specialty subconsultants structured to address each project’s unique requirements.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with highest honors, and is an emeritus member of the American Institute of Architects. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA); holds a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB); and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP®).
