Development of innovative assessment tools and methods is essential for protecting human health and the environment. At ERG, I’m excited to be at the forefront of these advancements.

Jason Sese, a senior chemical engineer, has supported the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for more than 15 years. He is an expert in evaluating environmental releases and occupational exposure to chemicals from the manufacturing, processing, and industrial/commercial use of chemicals. Jason currently leads ERG’s new chemicals work, as well as several risk evaluations under EPA’s existing chemicals program. He has led the development of numerous guidance documents, modeling approaches, and assessment tools to help inform both screening-level and detailed risk assessments. In addition, he has supported efforts to engage industry and the public via in-person and virtual workshops, presentations, and outreach documents.

Jason holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University. In his spare time, he enjoys trying new foods, experiencing new places, playing pickleball, and spending time with his loved ones.
