Senior Environmental Engineer
My work to provide scientific and policy expertise to water quality managers throughout the United States has deepened my appreciation of our shared environmental resources and the people who work to preserve them. I feel very fortunate every day to work with so many great and knowledgeable colleagues and clients.
Matthew Reusswig is a senior environmental engineer at PG Environmental (a division of ERG), with more than 10 years of experience in environmental science and engineering, water quality assessment, sediment modeling, and ecological restoration. He is an expert in modeling fate and transport of pollutants through watersheds. He provides support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state regulators in developing Total Maximum Daily Loads for toxic contaminants and nutrients, conducting sediment load modeling, and performing waterbody assessments. He has extensive experience analyzing environmental monitoring data, conducting geospatial analyses, and programming in the R language for data analysis. Matthew has applied his expertise to a wide variety of projects for EPA and state clients spanning municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, water resource management, permitting, pollution prevention, cost-benefit analyses, and ecological restoration.
Matthew holds a B.S.E in civil engineering, a B.S. in environmental science, and an M.S. in environmental engineering and science from the University of Iowa. He enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and extended family.
