ERG Contributes to Major EPA Report on Sustainable Materials Management

ERG collected and analyzed national data on the generation, recovery, and disposal of materials to help EPA develop its recently released report Advancing Sustainable Materials Management: Facts and Figures 2013. This report, the latest in a series, measures the success of waste reduction and recycling programs across the country. This year, EPA renamed the series, formerly calledMunicipal Solid Waste in the United States: Facts and Figures, to emphasize the importance of sustainable materials management—making the most productive and sustainable decisions about the use and reuse of material.
