ERG-Developed Tool Helps OSHA Make Hospitals and Nursing Homes Safer for Workers

ERG's Digital and Information Solutions Group recently developed a new tool that is helping OSHA identify hazards to worker safety in the healthcare industry. The tool captures information on severe work-related injuries and illnesses that OSHA requires employers to report. ERG quickly developed the mobile-friendly Web application and completed it in time to meet a surge in reporting in response to a rule revision that went into effect January 1, 2015. The rate of work-related injuries and illnesses at U.S. hospitals is almost twice as high as the overall rate for private industry.
