ERG Helps OSHA Launch Campaign to Change the Way Business Does Safety

Today, OSHA announced the release of a public review draft of its updated Safety and Health Program Management Guidelines, which help employers and their workers find and fix workplace safety and health hazards before someone gets hurt. ERG wrote and designed these new guidelines and is developing tools that will help employers implement them. This focus on prevention will help make workplaces safer, decrease the number of workers who are injured or killed each year, and reduce the substantial direct and indirect costs from workplace incidents. ERG is also working on an internal education and training campaign to make sure OSHA staff are equipped to promote the Guidelines during all interactions with employers. The Guidelines will be featured at the Department of Labor's Future of Work Symposium later this year.
