ERG to Support Community Resilience Efforts

flooded road

As subcontractor to Applied Research Associates, ERG will help the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Community Resilience Group better prepare communities and stakeholders for both natural and human-caused hazards. ERG will primarily provide social science, economic, statistical, and GIS expertise for NIST's resilience-related focus on research, community planning and guidance, and stakeholder engagement. This work will build on our previous support to NIST, which included developing a database of community resilience frameworks, indicators, and metrics; developing a quantitative database of resilience-related socioeconomic data; and performing field work to measure the critical path to recovery for schools, businesses, and water infrastructure systems following large hazards.
