ERG Supports Reservoir Operations Study in California

As part of ERG's efforts to support the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA), Arleen O'Donnell recently facilitated a steering committee meeting in La Jolla, California. Consisting of representatives from the SCWA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the committee convened to develop a plan for testing the feasibility of forecast-based reservoir operations in the Russian River watershed. The feasibility study will determine if such operations can improve the reservoir's ability to provide sustainable water supplies, control flooding, and provide ecosystem benefits.
