ERG wins ECOS Shark Tank competition for water reuse decision support tool
ERG is excited to announce that we were awarded a top prize for Water Reuse Wayz, an innovative, expert-informed, and artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced solution to enhance state water reuse capabilities, during the spring meeting of the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) in Savannah, Georgia.
The “Shark Tank”-inspired competition brought together four companies who were challenged to mastermind a solution that incorporates innovative technical or regulatory strategies to help state environmental agencies meet water, energy, or economic growth demands through water reuse, especially in light of the new challenges presented by data centers.
ERG’s solution, Water Reuse Wayz, is designed to help states meet water reuse goals by assessing reuse readiness, identifying strengths and opportunity areas, connecting users with resources, and charting a course to accelerate implementation.
“We were honored to receive this recognition from ECOS, whose members know all too well the many challenges, opportunities, requirements, and pressures related to water quantity and quality,” said ERG Vice President Bobby Jacobsen. “Water Reuse Wayz is one of our many innovative, customizable, and expert-informed solutions we have envisioned to help state governments do their jobs more efficiently and effectively.”
ERG plans to develop a prototype product, tailored for and in partnership with state agencies or other interested entities, to help them meet their water reuse goals.
The news comes on the heels of ERG’s win at the ECOS Shark Tank competition in September for Permit IMPROVE, an AI-powered solution to help expedite the environmental permitting process.
