ERG Writes White Paper to Help Advance Transportation Demand Management and Public-Private Transportation Partnerships in Massachusetts
Today, at a high-profile forum for state and local transportation officials, MassCommute, a statewide association of transportation management associations (TMAs), and MAPC, a Greater Boston regional planning organization, jointly released white papers assessing the impact of transportation demand management and public-private partnerships in reducing drive-alone commuting. ERG authored the MassCommute study, Making the Shift: How TMAs in Massachusetts Leverage Private-Sector Resources to Achieve State Goals & Public Benefits. ERG collected and analyzed commute data and conducted interviews with policymakers and businesses to generate the paper, which lays out a path for increasing the already significant economic, environmental, and societal benefits generated by Massachusetts' unique collaboration among employers, state agencies, institutions, and TMAs.
