ERG Helps EPA Address Lead Service Lines

As a part of EPA’s contract, ERG has partnered with Horsley Witten Group to support EPA’s Lead Service Line Replacement Accelerators initiative. ERG is assisting with all aspects of the program, including helping water system operators prepare lead service line inventories to find the sources of lead in their systems, conducting community engagement to ensure customers know of and can mitigate the risk of lead exposure, accessing funds such as those available through State Revolving Fund programs, and preparing plans to remove and replace lead service lines. Through EPA’s Accelerators initiative—which supports 40 communities across Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—ERG is providing direct technical assistance to 10 Pennsylvania communities and 10 Wisconsin communities to help systems meet compliance under the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions and replace lead service lines.
