ERG has been selected to support two new task orders awarded by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) that will strengthen the state’s air and water permitting systems.

The first task order focuses on modernizing Mississippi’s Clean Water Act permit templates. ERG will help update and streamline the state’s permitting materials to ensure they are clear, consistent, and aligned with current regulatory requirements.

The second task order supports Mississippi in writing Clean Air Act permits for new and existing sources of air emissions, helping to maintain healthy air quality across the state.

“We are excited to help MDEQ meet their air permitting obligations and streamline their NPDES permitting processes. Our air permit writers look forward to bringing our proven surge capacity approach to seamlessly augment staff, add value, and accelerate progress on permit backlogs,” said Liz Gorman, Senior Environmental Engineer. “Likewise, our NPDES permitting experts are eager to collaborate with MDEQ to develop permit and fact sheet templates that not only streamline permit development, but also ensure consistency and enforceability and are easy to update and maintain as the program evolves.”
