ERG Brings Applied Research to Life for the Airport Industry

Sea-Tac

Airports face a myriad of security, operational, and administrative challenges every day. While the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) funds research to help identify solutions, airports do not have many opportunities to learn from one another on how to put that research into practice. ERG helps bridge this gap by authoring four to six ACRP Impacts on Practice case studies each year. The case studies highlight airports that successfully use ACRP research to surmount a challenge and improve operations. Most recently, we developed a case study detailing how Seattle-Tacoma International Airport used two ACRP research reports to guide the design of a new airport international arrivals facility.
