ERG Contributes to New Report on Global Food Waste Management

Building on ERG’s food waste management and biogas expertise, several ERG staff helped write and review a new report, Global Food Waste Management: An Implementation Guide for Cities, for the World Biogas Association and C40 Cities Food, Water and Waste Programme. The report describes how cities around the world manage their food waste and provides best practices for preventing and reducing this global problem. It also describes different food waste collection systems, treatment alternatives such as composting and anaerobic digestion, and policies to ensure food waste is sustainably managed. As part of the launch event, ERG’s Brian Guzzone was quoted in the report’s press release.
