ERG recently completed a series of three-day Clean Air Act permitting training sessions for the Western States Air Resources Council (WESTAR), a consortium of West Coast state air agencies. While the project’s initial scope called for one training session, the first session was so successful that WESTAR quickly ordered two more sessions based on popular demand. The course helps participants learn to navigate the air permitting process under the Clean Air Act. ERG plans to expand this type of work to more states, the U.S. EPA, and communities; we hope to empower communities by helping them understand opportunities that are available through the Clean Air Act permitting process. To date, ERG has completed additional courses of the in-demand training for The Clean Air Association of the Northeast States and the Lake Michigan Air Directors Consortium.
