ERG to Help Combat Air Quality Threats in California’s National Parks

CA mountains

To help combat threats from its emissions-producing maintenance fleets, the National Park Service Pacific West Region recently awarded ERG a contract to evaluate its compliance with air emissions regulations in California’s national parks. We will inspect vehicles and equipment, determine their compliance with California Air Resources Board and local air district regulations, suggest corrective actions, and develop plans for each park’s fleet to ensure compliance in the future. Beginning with Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park in 2017, and for the next five years, ERG will conduct the inspections and develop compliance plans for 20 national parks, national reserves, and national monuments in California.
