ERG to Help Communities Become More Resilient to Natural Disasters

We’ve recently witnessed several catastrophic hurricanes, which have impacted millions of people in the United States. That’s why ERG is proud to announce three new projects that will help communities prepare for and respond to events like these. For the National Institute of Standards and Technology Community Resilience Group—under subcontract to Applied Research Associates—ERG will compile social, economic, and health data to help assess current trends in local resilience to disasters across the United States. ERG will also develop an inventory of indicators that can be used to help assess community resilience. Finally, ERG will work with municipalities to document the essential steps to recovery for schools, businesses, and drinking water systems to inform future disaster recovery efforts.
