ERG helped the Fairfax County, Virginia, Office of Environmental and Energy Coordination with an outreach initiative to encourage residents, businesses, and key stakeholders to decrease their climate-warming greenhouse gas emissions. The series of “Carbon-Free Fairfax” campaigns launched in 2022 with the goal of catalyzing action and changing behaviors to help the county meet its wider goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions 50 percent by 2030. Campaign topics included electric vehicles, installing and using residential solar, home energy assessments, simple ways to reduce emissions at home, alternative forms of transportation in the county, and the financial benefits of reducing emissions. In collaboration with the county, ERG developed a suite of branded creative collateral to be used across the campaigns, including infographics, short social media videos, longer testimonial-style videos, social media posts and graphics, and blog posts.
