ERG Supports Development of EPA Data Transparency Tool

ERG recently helped EPA’s Office of Compliance launch a new data transparency tool that improves public access to information about environmental violations and enforcement activities in EPA’s Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) website. The new tool, ECHO Notify, is a subscription service that delivers email notifications identifying changes in facility compliance information tailored to specific facilities or locations. Because the data in ECHO frequently change, these email alerts help users more easily keep up with recent compliance and enforcement activities for facilities in their communities. Anyone may register through the ECHO website to receive weekly ECHO Notify email notifications. ERG also developed a video tutorial to accompany the public release of ECHO Notify.
