ERG Raising Awareness of New York’s Clean Transportation Prizes

ERG is working with New York State’s Clean Transportation Prize program (NYCTP) to raise awareness of up to $85 million in grand prizes for clean transportation solutions that reduce air pollution and improve quality of life. The program will help bring solutions to underserved communities, and ERG’s Environmental and Climate Justice Solutions practice is connecting with community-based organizations and other key stakeholders to amplify program information and help identify opportunities for implementation.

The prize competition features:

  •  Clean Neighborhoods Challenge: Up to three $10 million grand prizes will be awarded to innovative projects that address local air pollution reduction at scale in disadvantaged communities.
  •  Electric Mobility Challenge: Up to three $7 million grand prizes will be awarded to projects that demonstrate innovative, safe, and convenient electric mobility options that help solve disadvantaged communities’ transportation needs.
  • Electric Truck & Bus Challenge: Up to three $8 million grand prizes will be awarded to projects that demonstrate electrified solutions to the deployment of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles or their replacement through other electrified transportation modes.

The prize competition is administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), in partnership with the New York State Department of Public Service and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Learn more about the NYCTP by visiting the competition website

Over the next few weeks, ERG is also excited to offer a series of webinars to help community-based organizations and other potential applicants learn more about the benefits and opportunities associated with the NYCTP. Sign up for a webinar here, or use this form to add your organization to our Community Partner Directory.
