ERG Contributes to New Publication on NextGen Technologies at Airports

Cover of Engaging Airport Stakeholders--Guidebook

ERG’s communications experts contributed research and outreach expertise to one of the Airport Cooperative Research Program of the National Academies’ newest publications, NextGen for Airports: Engaging Airport Stakeholders—Guidebook. This resource was written to help airports interact with their many stakeholders who are affected by the introduction and deployment of “NextGen” technologies—a new generation of technologies designed to make air travel safer, cleaner, and more efficient. ERG’s substantial contributions to the document’s research and recommendations include developing template materials, messaging, and engagement strategies that airports of any size in any location can use to better convey how their adoption and use of NextGen procedures and technologies may affect various stakeholder groups, including aircraft operators, community groups, political representatives, local businesses, and others.
