ERG expands support to the Bureau of Land Management with ecological monitoring project in Nevada
ERG has been selected by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a yearlong project to collect ecological monitoring data across Nevada in 2026. This project expands ERG’s work on BLM’s Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) Program into yet another state.
ERG has supported the program since 2019 and has sampled over 6,000 sites on BLM-managed lands throughout the West, including in Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The data collected informs crucial policy actions, land use planning, and management decisions. Each summer, ERG’s Ecological Services Group deploys 30 to 40 seasonal field staff to rugged and remote areas, where they conduct botanical inventories, categorize soil data, and document other important ecological features along the way. ERG is proud to bring its expertise to Nevada and continue supporting BLM’s mission.
“We’re excited to expand our work into Nevada,” said Mindi Lundberg, a lead ecologist at ERG. “AIM provides the essential data that guides land management decisions and supports the health and resilience of our landscapes. Healthy landscapes start with AIM data—and strong partnerships grow from it. We look forward to building these new collaborations in Nevada.”
